Uganda Children's Hope Foundation (www.ugandachildrenshope.org) Julius M. Lwanga founded this organization in 2006. The mission of UCHF is "redeeming the world affected by HIV/AIDS pandemic and restoring hope where it was lost through provision of care, support and basic necessities." Vision: sharing love in an unloving world. Julius himself was the subject of stigma and discrimination when he fell sick, not from HIV but rather malaria. Julius takes in vulnerable orphaned and abused children. The current orphan population in Uganda is 2.6 million. Food prices are high ($200 per month), Julius has established a garden this year.
Seeds for Peace donated seeds in March 2009; they were already eating the squash in June. Sponsoring one of his orphans costs $22.00 per month.
