Lesotho

Lynn Minderman is a Peace Corps volunteer who worked in Lesotho, Africa. She worked in the village of Likiting in Qholaqhoe, Butha-Buthe, Lesotho. Six years ago, 10 women and men established an "orphan's garden". They wanted to keep the AIDS orphans in the village. There are now 35 orphans in this one small village. The garden is organic; the children do all the work. Lynn writes: "This is one of the happiest groups of children I have ever knwon. They work together, eat together, walk to school together and take care of one another. The seeds you sent, Sue, were a tremendous help."

Seeds for Peace is now on its third Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho.
